This is a Travel Athletic Trainer position that will provide Athletic Training coverage for Davis Senior High School during the spring semester, from March 3rd through May 12th, working approximately 40 hours per week.
Housing is provided for qualified candidates during the term of the assignment.

Deliver Athletic Training Services to athletes across multiple sports programs.
Collaborate with coaches, athletes, and parents to ensure optimal safety, performance, and care.
Support practices, games, and events, including weekend commitments with predetermined scheduling.

Educational Background: Master’s degree from a CAATE-accredited athletic training program (or Bachelor's for programs completed before 2022).

We are seeking passionate and qualified applicants for the role of Head Athletic Trainer to join our dynamic team.
This Head Athletic Trainer position will provide Athletic Training Services to Yuba-Sutter High Wheelers professional baseball team. This position will begin May 12th and run through September 15, 2025.
This position has a guaranteed contract of $28,000 to $32,000 for the season. All travel is covered by the team. Housing options are available provided by FLEX.
The Yuba-Sutter High Wheelers are a dynamic professional baseball team competing in the Independent Pioneer Baseball League, with a recent 2024 championship win highlighting their competitive edge. Based in Marysville, California, the team plays home games at historic Bryant Field and is deeply committed to fostering community engagement and promoting a family-friendly atmosphere. Known for their vibrant energy and dedication to excellence, the High Wheelers are a proud representation of the Yuba-Sutter region's spirit and heritage.
What You’ll Do
1. Injury Prevention:
a. Develop and implement pre-practice and pre-game warm-ups.
b. Provide guidance on injury prevention strategies and conditioning programs.
2. Injury Management:
a. Evaluate, treat, and rehabilitate injuries sustained by athletes.
b. Maintain records in an electronic medical system compliant with HIPAA
c. Coordinate insurance claims and worker compensation claims as needed.
3. Game and Practice Coverage:
a. Attend all team practices and games, both home and away, to deliver on-the-spot care.
b. Prioritize player readiness and emergency injury management during events.
4. Athletic Training Room Management:
a. Maintain and organize the training room.
b. Ensure all equipment and supplies are available for optimal athlete care.
5. Travel Duties:
a. Accompany the team during travel to provide continuous medical coverage.
b. Collaborate with team staff to coordinate care during road games.
6. Communication and Education:
a. Act as the liaison between athletes, coaches, and external healthcare providers.
b. Provide educational workshops to coaches and players as needed.

In this role, you will provide athletic training services for various athletic events as needed. Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site athletic training services at various athletic events
- Assess injuries and provide immediate care
- Develop and implement injury prevention programs
- Communicate with coaches, athletes, and parents regarding injury management and rehabilitation

- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related field
- Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) through the Board of Certification
